Young People, Mental Health and the Media Short Film Blog

Hi Everyone! 🙂

In July 2014 I got interviewed for a short film about Mental Health.

Description:

“Made in collaboration with the Time to Change campaign, this documentary explores the stigma surrounding mental health problems and how media can be used to challenge it.

Produced by a group of 15 – 19 year olds at Camden Summer University the film features Savan and Jessica who have experienced mental health problems and are now involved in fighting stigma with Time to Change through blogging and public events.

Jane Merkin, Executive Producer of the BBC3 programme ‘Don’t Call Me Crazy’ talks about how she approached making a film about a teenage mental health unit and George Hogan who appeared in the programme explains why he chose to take part.

Thanks to London Metropolitan University and Camden City Learning Centre.”
