Having an iconic venue such as Tower Bridge was what made the evening very special for not just the Trust but also the charities that have benefitted. At the beginning there was a speech from the Chairman of the Trust Committee Jeremy Mayhew.
It was an opportunity for the team to meet and interview some of the people who are a part of the City Bridge Trust and the charities that have benefitted. The charities were Age UK Ealing, Age UK Islington, Bishop Creighton House, Brent Mencap, Calthorpe Project, Centre for Armenian Information and Advice, Community Network, Community of Refugees from Vietnam, Contact the Elderly, Copleston Centre, Elfrida Rathbone, Finsbury & Clerkenwell Volunteers, Hammersmith Community Gardens Association, Kensington & Chelsea Social Council, Kiloran Trust, Lasa, London Hazards Centre, Hackney Sparrows Wheelchair Basketball Club and Tower Hamlets Mission.
The team from London360 managed to interview a few of the charities such as Brent Mencap, the Centre for Armenian Information and Advice and the Community of Refugees from Vietnam. They all spoke passionately about what their charities were about and why the City Bridge Trust has been essential to their funding and running of their services.
Before the event was over, one of the city farms generously donated natural British Honey to all those in attendance on the night.
